BY ANGELA WILSON APRIL 5, 2016 FOR THESOURCE.COM

Enter Bresha Webb, the new Hollywood It-Girl who’s having the best year ever. From the silver screen to Hollywood projectors, the West Baltimore native is out for a success all her own.

The 28-year-old, who just landed a leading role in NBC’s new pilot sitcom Marlon, loosely based on the life of Marlon Wayans, just released the hilarious Purge parody Meet the Blacks alongside Mike Epps and George Lopez. From NBC’s Truth be Told, to recurring roles on ER and Grey’s Anatomy, the actress is more than just a pretty face. Graduating from the Baltimore School for the Arts, popularly known for its famous alumnus including 2Pac and Jada Pinkett-Smith, Webb is looking unstoppable.

The Source caught up with the comedic actress as she talked about her success, something every woman should try at least once and the best advice she’s ever received.

How did you get involved with Meet the Blacks and what was it like working on set with the hilarious Mike Epps?

I was offered the part by the director, Deon Taylor, who’s friends with a couple of friends of mine. When I learned that Mike Epps was already attached, it was a no brainer! We’ve worked together before, but never that close. It was so fun, and never felt like work!

What can viewers expect from your character on NBC’s Marlon? And what was it like working with him?

My character’s name is Allie, who just turned 18, and has little bit of independence and she is not sure what she wants to do with her life. She is really into social media and her phone and doesn’t take anything seriously, until it’s too late.

Working with Marlon, he is ridiculously crazy, a gentleman who is fun on and off camera. Again, working with him, it never felt like actually work!
