Catch This Exclusive Interview with TRAFFIK Star & Producer, Paula Patton

Sheen Magazine correspondent, MJ sits down to talk all things TRAFFIK with star, Paula Patton

The new thriller film, “Traffik” which will be in theaters this Friday features Paula Patton and Omar Epps as a young couple who travels on a romantic getaway to the mountains only to be terrorized by a vicious group of sex traffickers with whom they become locked in a desperate struggle for survival. The film’s cast includes Laz Alonso, Roselyn Sanchez, Luke Goss, Missi Pyle, and William Fichtner.

Correspondent MJ Jackson sat down with lead star and producer of the new film, Paula Patton in Los Angeles, in which they discussed a few topics, one being the importance of women not receiving equal pay as their male co-stars. Patton joked about actor, Denzel Washington making more money than her, which we pretty much agree with her on that it’s the legendary Denzel. The two discussed the importance of women standing up for equal pay and how the truth being exposed last year has given women more opportunities.

In 2018, African Americans are still making history by being the first nominated for a major category or the first to receive a major category award and we ask ourselves why is that? It is because we have so many actors and actress deserving these acknowledgements. Patton flat out and says the reason behind this is, “America was built on slavery.”
